This newly popularized subgenre of literature focuses on the lives of students and the boundaries they are willing to push in their pursuits of greater knowledge. Knowledge is power, and this power comes at a price for these characters. Wistful academic aesthetics combined with dark twists make this genre a perfect read for a chilly, rainy day!
