Homewood Library has many books on gardening/horticulture. Most are listed under the main Dewey number 635, although related materials are found in 712 (landscaping) and 631 (composting, etc.). The following list is selective, although ample enough to suggest the range available. There are materials for beginning and advanced gardeners; books on garden planning and design; on Southern gardening, flowers, and native plants. Many titles treat food gardening: fruits, vegetables, and organic practices. There are materials for container and shade gardens as well. Anyone pursuing horticulture should find books of interest to explore.
