During Women’s History Month, we are pleased to welcome a new gallery display featuring a multitude of artistic expressions.
The National League of American Pen Women, Inc. was established in 1897, in Washington D.C. It was to encourage and support women in the fields of Art, Letters, and Music. There are many branches throughout the country. The Birmingham Branch has been active since 1925 and this branch provides inspiration and education for all the members.
The visual artists usually have a yearly exhibit. Due to the pandemic, this show was delayed by two years. This show is the Artists’ Choice and highlights works which each artist feels are her best or favorite pieces from the past or the present.
Come by the library March 1-29 to view the variety of artforms displayed from paintings, to drawings to music.
