What’s on my digital library shelf this week?

Libby/Overdrive:

The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann SHAFFER + Annie BARROWS

Format: Audio (unabridged)

Length: 8 hours (just long enough)

Review: Wonderful book! I’ve learned a lot also. Audio books can go really wrong depending on the narrator. This book has several narrators you don’t really have to get used to before you can enjoy the book.

**also available in e-book format

Hoopla:

Snow, Glass, Apples by Neil GAIMAN + Colleen DORAN

Format: Graphic Novel

Length: 67 glorious pages

Review: What can I say besides Wow! I’m already a fan of Neil Gaiman’s imagination, but coupled with the stunning artwork, this very twisted and naughty ADULT version of Snow White sucked me in from page 1. I don’t normally enjoy graphic novels this much, but I think maybe I just hadn’t been looking in the right place. I’m inspired to read more.

Jesus is King an album by Kanye WEST

Format: Hoopla Music

Length: 11 tracks (the average song about 3 minutes)

Review: A different kind of worship music. Good for Kanye! I’m glad I could experience it for free.

Sensitive: The Untold Story

Format: Documentary (2015)

Length: 1 hr 4 min

Review: This visually beautiful documentary brings awareness to what goes through the mind of a person who is highly sensitive to their surroundings. With an appearance by Alanis Morissette, everyone could benefit from the awareness to this mental health issue that is everywhere but not always recognized.
