White HotBurn for Me, the first book in the Hidden Legacy series, was published way back in 2014. I loved it. I wanted to find out what happened next. I craved the next installment, which was due to be published in 2015.

Publication was delayed.

Publication was delayed again.

And again.

Finally, after almost three years, Hidden Legacy #2 had a title, White Hot, and it’s publication date was finalized. I’d completely forgotten the details of the first novel (since I’d read it three years ago!), so I checked out the Burn for Me digital audiobook from OverDrive and listened to the story I’d loved – hoping it was as good as I remembered.

It totally was.

After rereading Burn for Me, I plunged immediately into White Hot. I wasn’t disappointed. If you haven’t read Burn for Me, stop now and check it out. There could be spoilers below (no spoilers for White Hot, though. I was careful.).

White Hot picks up where Burn for Me leaves off. Nevada is trying to return her life to a semblance of normal, “normal” being a life without powerful, sexy, and very dangerous Prime Rogan. The first case on her doorstep, however, is another Prime in need of help. To survive the case, Nevada will have to work with Rogan again.

Rogan hasn’t stopped thinking about Nevada. Hasn’t stopped wanting her. And what Rogan wants, Rogan eventually gets.

The action in White Hot was faster, the plot more intricate, and the characters became even more real. New characters were added – and are amazing. Rogan and Nevada were already well-developed but backstories, fears, and vulnerabilities were explored and uncovered, making them oh, so real. Secondaries were likewise more fleshed out, and doing so advanced the plot in completely unexpected ways. I didn’t want it to end. Fortunately, book three, Wildfire, is due to be published on July 25, 2017. *fingers crossed*
