Imagine Your Story…then WRITE IT OUT

with No Comments

SUMMER READING HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED! (*begins to dance*)

The theme for Summer Reading is “Imagine Your Story”, and we’re so excited to share with you some of our favorite fairy tales and folk tales! But, I realized today, that we shouldn’t just read the amazing stories written by those who imagined their stories, but we should take Summer Reading a step further and began to WRITE the stories that WE IMAGINE.

Our imaginations are filled with so many ideas that are begging to be released and unleashed! It’s easy for us to try to turn them off or suppress them, but for this Summer Reading, I challenge you and your family to turn the key and unlock the door to your imagination and began to WRITE and DRAW, and ACT OUT the bountiful ideas. This practice will open the door for sharing our stories that we have imagine, before the people we love and cherish.

Need some inspiration, don’t worry, there’s a Reader’s Advisory for that! Here are some of my favorite books on how you can take those ideas from your imagination and begin to write your own story!
