Think arranging your rooms according to an age-old Chinese system is too out-there for you? Think again. There are plenty of elements in this practice that are completely down-to-earth (and don’t cost a cent). Feng shui specialist Katie Rogers shares her best tips for making every room in your house feel calm and happy.

What exactly is feng shui? It’s a practice based on the idea that our homes are a mirror of what’s happening inside us. The purpose of feng shui is to get your environment in alignment with who you are and where you want to go—to harmonize your energy with your home’s energy.

How do you do that? By carefully considering what you bring in, how you arrange your rooms, and how you maintain the place. Everything has energy, even inanimate objects. Feng shui helps guide that energy and let it flow freely through your home.

Are you looking for a brand new kind of book club?

We think we have something you’ll enjoy. Instead of all reading the same book and then discussing, you get to do it your way … Read a book or an article, listen to a podcast or an interview, watch a documentary, or just bring your experiences or opinions and we will then discuss. Clearly, it is “not your Mama’s book club.” We usually meet on the first Tuesday of every month (except July & September we’ll meet on the second Tuesday) at 2 p.m. in the Boardroom.

This month our topic is:  Not Your Mama’s Book Club: Feng Shui we would love to see you Tuesday, Sept 11, at 2p.m. in the Boardroom!
