Did you know you can make just about anything in a slow-cooker? It’s true! I love finding new ways to use my crock-pot. Walking through my front door at the end of a long work day and being hit with scent of dinner that’s already been cooking for hours and is ready for a plate and a dinner table, it’s a great feeling.

With just a little bit of prep work in the morning or the evening before, (and if you’re a master of planning, maybe even a month before), you can count on your slow cooker to do the rest.

I use a crock-pot.  My mother and many others out there have fallen in love with using a pressure cooker, another reliable method for slow cooking food.  However you choose to do it, the process of slow-cooking promises one thing. FLAVOR. It’s impossible to cook a meal over the course of a few hours and it not have an incredible amount of flavor.  In fact, my crock-pot lasagna is so spectacular, I swore off any other method for making lasagna years ago.  I even prep the lasagna with raw lasagna noodles.  That’s right, straight out of the box and into the crock-pot.  Amazing.
