For this Read Woke challenge week, we will be focusing on the topics of poverty and homelessness. Each book that’s listed, highlights the challenges many people face due to the lack of resources, advocates, and even the harsh and violent realities of their foundational environment. It is very important for all of us to understand other people’s experiences and other families’ realities– to face a hard truth that, unfortunately everyone is not well-off. Our goal during each READ WOKE challenge week is to open the doors for conversations and to hopefully draw you and your family to action!
